Young Bravery Award Recipients Honored

National Bravery Award Winners of India

New Delhi, January 30 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Bata India, the largest retailer and manufacturer of footwear in India honored the young bravery award recipients of 64th Republic Day at a felicitation ceremony at the Bata India Connaught Place store. Saluting the spirit of bravery, Bata India Ltd gave due recognition to these children who have distinguished themselves by performing outstanding heroic deeds of bravery. These children were given shoes, socks and bags as a token of appreciation by Bata India.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Rajeev Gopalakrishnan, Group Managing Director, Bata India Limited says “Our motto was to boost the morale and encourage these children to retain their spirit of bravery and service to others, especially in present times. We convey our heartiest congratulations to all the awardees for their valorous acts and wish them grand success in their lives”.

These brave hearts come from different cities across India and are winners of the National Bravery Award (an endeavor by the Indian Council for Child Welfare, ICCW). The brave hearts included 4 girls, 17 boys and guardian of one posthumous awardee who performed outstanding acts of valor in year 2012.
