Shemaroo Studio wins the Govt. of Maharashtra tender for Digital Restoration

Mumbai, Jan 29, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio) Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd., a leading content owner and distributor bags one of the most prestigious project of Govt. of Maharashtra to digitally restore 4000 minutes of content. According to the agreement, the company needs to restore several of short films and documentaries of Govt. of Maharashtra from Negative/Print.

Hiren Gada, Director, Shemaroo Entertainment shares his thoughts on the occasion, “We are honored to get an opportunity to serve the Govt. of Maharashtra and digitally restore many of its films and documentaries. The process will enable us to save a large pie of content from getting lost.”

Shemaroo, set up its in-house state-of-the-art Digital Post Production Studio in 2001. Today the company is counted among the leading players in Digital Restoration and Archiving. With it’s experience and expertise in the field, the company has restored more than 450 films till date.  Shemaroo has closely worked with many of the known players in the industry to restore their content, namely, Yash Raj Films and Vinod Chopra Productions, Kumar Gaurav among others.

Few films that Shemaroo restored include Mohabbatein, Veer Zaara, Anand, Chupke Chupke, Kaajal, Mahaan, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Deewaar among others. Other than restoration, Shemaroo studio is also involved in Digital Scanning and Archiving, Digital Intermediate, Visual Effects, SD/HD all conversions, Satellite transfers, SD/HD Audio post production, IPTV/Mobile conversions, Blu Ray/DVD/VCD Authoring etc.
