KMRF give scholarships to 673 meritorious students in Sirajganj Bangladesh

Khwaja Mozammel Hoque Foundation (KMRF) Awards Scholarships to Meritorious Students in Bangladesh

Dhaka (Bangladesh), January 28, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio) Keeping in line with the tradition this year too, Khwaja Mozammel Hoque (R) Foundation (KMRF), a sufi-based welfare organization has awarded educational scholarships to 419 meritorious students who secured GPA 5.00 in the recently held Junior School Certificate Exam and 254 students of class eight and ten from 67 different educational institutions of Sirajganj district.

The enthusiastic event took place in a ceremonial manner began at 11-00am on the Tamai Bohumukhi High School Premises in Sirajganj. Watch a video clip of the event.

Chairman of KMRF, Khwaja Tipu Sultan graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In addition, KMRF Secretary Al Hajj Jobair Hossain presided over the function. Besides, Senior Advisor of Education Development Institute of BRAC University Dr. Monjur Ahmad, Member of Advisory Council of the Foundation and Deputy Secretary for the Ministry of Education Md. Shamsul Alam, UNO Khondkar Farhad Ahmad and Deputy Director of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board of Rajshahi region Dr. Sharmin Ferdous also attended the event as Special Guests along with Mahbub-E-Elahi Bulbul, KMRF Chief Coordinator of greater Dhaka region; Treasurer Sohel Hossain Ibne Batuta, Mr. Ansar Ali Khan Joy, KMRF Chief Coordinator of greater North Bengal region, Mr. Engr. Khurshid Ahmed, Chief Coordinator, greater Comilla Region.

KMRF’s advisory committee member Mr. Arman Khan conducted a contest which was participated by the meritorious students to test their intellectual and scholastic aptitude and Besides, magic show on alphabets by eminent magician Shipu Raj was enjoyed by the whole audience.

Huge number of students, teachers, guardians and social dignitaries from different walks of life joined the awared giving ceremony.

Headmaster of Provakar Bidyaniketon Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud gave the welcome speech.

Speaking on the occasion, Khwaja Tipu Sultan called upon the students to follow the ideas of Prophet (SM) in their individual life, family and social life. “Securing good results is not enough…you (students) should also try to build yourself as honest and real persons realizing the teachings of Prophet (SM).

He hoped that all the schools of the district would be incorporate into the stipend programme in phases.

The award giving ceremony was followed by a cultural function where noted singer Haider Hossain performed different songs.

KMRF has been awarding this scholarship to promote the talented students of different schools of Sirajganj district since 2001. The foundation also provides financial support among the poor followers of Khwaja Enayetpuri (R) as Sadka-E-Zaria and medical support through a free-Friday clinic at Shyamoli in the city.
