Swamy gets anticipatory bail in 'inflammatory' article case

New Delhi, Jan 30 (IBNS): The Delhi High Court on Monday granted anticipatory bail to  Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy in connection to a case associated with his alleged writing 'inflammatory' article against Islam.

The court reportedly asked Swamy to furnish personal and security bonds of Rs. 25,000 each.

Earlier, the Delhi High Court had granted Swamy interim protection till Jan 30 against his possible arrest for allegedly writing the controversial article.

However, Swamy was granted interim protection on an undertaking that he would not pen similar articles in future.

The Janata Party leader had moved to the Delhi High Court in order to seek an anticipatory bail against an First Information Report (FIR) registered by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police in Oct for writing the controversial article.

Swamy had written the alleged 'inflammatory' article titled 'Analysis: How to wipe out Islamic terror' in DNA newspaper in July.

He had mentioned in his write up that Islamic terrorism is the number one problem that India is facing.
