Written and directed by Milind Gadagkar, the upcoming Hindi horror movie Phoonk 2 is produced by RGV. It is named Bommai 2 in Tamil and Aavaham in Telugu.

It is likely Phoonk 2 will hit theaters in 2010.

The original Phoonk did not do spectacularly at the box office.

Phoonk 2 is loosely of the genre of J-Horror (Japanese horror flicks involving girls with long hair hiding their faces, The Ring (1998) being a classic example).
