Rituparna Sengupta at Launch of Revamped Kolkata Restaurant Aiming for "American Lounge or Pub Feel"

Kolkata, India, Dec 30 (Washington Bangla Radio) - Tollywood Kolkata Bangla movie diva Rituparna Sengupta launched the revamped version of Matsuri restaurant in the city. Matsuri has added an array of Multi-Cuisine delicacies stepping forward from "authentic Japanese Cuisine only".

“I am amazed to see Matsuri turned into such a happening place, this is surely going to be the next chilling zone for everyone, with a multi-cuisine menu and a full bar, this place is going to be on top of the list to hang out, I wish the entire team of Matsuri all the best,” said Rituparna at the launch.

The actress had also earlier inaugurated the original restaurant when it opened in May , 2014.

Palash Banerjee, Managing Director MATSURI, said, “this is our first attempt in launching a Lounge and Bar concept with a Multi Cuisine menu, I hope people are going to like this place as we have re- vamped the entire place into a lounge and bar and will also have special DJ nights on Fridays and Saturdays, along with DJ available otherwise as well. The interiors have been done keeping what the youth would like, something Kolkata has never seen before.”

A look at the lounge reveals that it has been inspired by the California and Arizona Petrol pump in the United States and the entire lounge gives one a feel of how a lounge or a pub in America is.

“The aesthetically done up interiors has a special element to it giving the same a very authentic American feel. The specialty is of the brick walls which portray American Graffiti art on it, the color combination of Black and White and the use of Musical Instruments like, Guitars, Pianos, etc as part of the interiors,” said Tanay Goon who has decorated the interiors of the lounge.
