Nadeem Saifi Wants to Make a Personal and Professional Comeback

Nadeem Saifi

Mumbai, Dec 26 (Washington Bangla Radio) - After a decade of living abroad in Dubai and London, composer Nadeem Saifi is returning to Bollywood with the forthcoming film "Ishq Forever". He considers this a come-back to Bollywood in a deep personal sense as well.

Saifi is one half of the famous Nadeem-Shravan duo. Among their numerous outstanding work on Indian film music, the song ‘dheere dheere se’ from the film 'Aashiqui’ busted charts twice. The original 1990 release sold over 200 million audio cassettes and CDs in 1990, and a Honey Singh remix featuring Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor crossed 51 million hits on YouTube recently.

Saifi debuted as a composer in 1979 with the Bhojpuri film ‘Dangal’. He also holds the record of a thousand consecutive super-hits.

“I am making a comeback as a composer to Bollywood with Ishq Forever, but at the same time, I also want to make a comeback in the real sense as well. I have been away from India since many years and I miss my country, where I have got so much love and affection and respect. Maybe, someday, it will be possible for me to come to India,” Saifi said.

The trailer of ‘Ishq Forever’ starring Krishna Chaturvedi, Ruhi Singh, Lisa Ray and Jaaved Jafferi was launched recently by director Sameer Sippy and producer Shabeer Boxwala along with the film team and Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal.
