Mumbai, Dec 18 (Washington Bangla Radio) - A glamorous and entertaining celebration of the only Marathi viewer’s choice award will be aired on Zee Talkies on 20th December, Sunday at 7.00 p.m. The list of winners of the ‘Maharashtracha Favorite Kon 2015’ awards were declared on Nov 26. Zee Talkies also took up a new visual identity in October.

These audience choice awards which took place last month was marked by hilarious skits, innovative dance performances and the presence of the crème de la crème of the Marathi film industry including actor Nana Patekar. The evening was choc-o-block with entertaining acts like Ankush Chaudhari’s brilliant performance, Amruta Khanvilkar’s sizzling dance that fans can now watch on TV this weekend.

The fist look of Poshter Girl was also released. Hosted by actors Vaibhav Tatwawdi and Siddharth Chandekar, ‘Maharashtracha Favorite Kon 2016’ honors the contribution of film makers and actors in the Marathi industry.

Popular film ‘Double Seat’ was the toast of the evening that swept five major awards in total.

Organized by Marathi channel Zee Talkies, ‘Maharashtracha Favorite Kon 2016’ is the only viewer’s choice awards of Marathi industry. In its seventh year, the annual award function recognizes upcoming talent in Marathi cinema.
