During the visit Randeep told, “It was not easy to get into the skin of the character of such a mysterious man. Everyone has a different version of his character. During the research my director met a lot of people who had met and interacted with Charles at different times. I too saw a lot of real footage of him and tried  to learn how he talked, how he walked and other mannerisms of his.”

The actor also shared his experiences about his meeting with the real Charles Sobhraj in Nepal Jail where he is being held at. “Charles Sobhraj had lived a larger than life character outside jail. In spite of being in jail for so long he still has retained his charm with which he used to lure people to fatal traps. He is still  a very handsome man.  When we met him and showed  him the trailer he said, that he felt very nostalgic about it as it reminded him of his youth. He also said that the movie was a  product of a very good quality and he liked the casting. He said that he has more stories about himself and he would like  to share those stories with us so that we could turn them into movies.”
