Press Meet of Bengali Movie Bhaarate

Jyoti Prakash Mondal, Kolkata, December 3, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): After the much hyped film ‘Mukti’, Tollywood diva Rituparna Sengupta and Young Turk Rajdeep Ghosh are again coming together in a Bengali film. They will be sharing screen space in Anindya Ghosh’s debut feature film ‘Bhaarate’. The film also stars pretty actress Arunima who recently gained a lot of appreciation for her role in ‘Nayika’ Sangbad.

The announcement press conference of the film recently took place in Bengal Club Kolkata in the presence of the cast and crew of the film. A host of many other celebrities of Kolkata was also spotted at the event.


The film is about a happy couple (played by Arunima and Rajdeep) who are recently married and are spending the most romantic moment of their life. Suddenly things change when Arunima's maternal departs to heavenly abode and she becomes the inheritor of her uncle’s ancestral house which is situated in north Kolkata. Despite’s Rajdeep’s suggestion of selling it off, Arunima decides to move into the house. Arunima feels that the house has too many memories and they should not sell it just because they had inherited it. But when they realises that the maintenanance of such a big house is going to be an issue, they agrees on selling off a portion of it. But things go in an unexpected direction when a NGO worker (Rituparna Sengupta) comes to live there as a tenant.


At the press conference Arunima was looking a chick in a purple off shoulder top and a catchy long skirt. She said, “I have liked the concept very much and is looking forward to work in the film. I am also excited to work with Rituparna Sengupta and also Rajdeep. I liked Rajdeep’s performance in Mukti.”


Rituparna Sengupta appeared at the event wearing an electric blue strapped Kurta and a decorated side bag. She too seemed excited about the film. “I always like to venture into different dimensions while choosing roles. In this film I will be seen in a very unique character. Also there is a lot of thrill in the script.”


Director Anindya Ghosh revealed that the concept was passed on to him by Sujoy Ghosh over an informal adda. The director of Kahaani is a good friend of Anindya and when Anindya told him that he wants to take over the concept and make a film, Sujoy agreed happily.


Rajdeep was glowing in a bright orange shirt. He seemed more confident than ever. He posed gleefully with both the ladies and made the shutterbugs happy. The film which is bein produced by AVMA media is going to be shot at different parts of Kolkata. The huge house where all the drama is going to happen is situated in south Kolkata.
