Rituparna Sengupta Inaugurates Designer Agnimitra Paul’s Second Store ‘Agni’

Jyoti Prakash Mondal, Kolkata, December 3, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Kolkata will be getting the taste of inimitable style with the launch of the second store, Agni of designer Agnimitra Paul at Avani Riverside Mall. The new prêt store of the designer is a gift for the people living in Howrah and the surrounding areas from the designer.

“I have always wanted to come up with a store in this part of the city. The people in this part always had to cross the river to do their shopping. They are quite keen on going for designer clothes and hence I thought of opening up my second store here. The main attraction of this store is the fact that the clothing line is affordable and people will be able to make good use of it. Prices start from about two thousand rupees which is quite reasonable if you compare with the prices of clothes that I have in my other store” said Agnimitra Paul. The designer also stressed on the point that this store will break the notion that the designer clothes are too expensive and burns a hole in pocket.

The artistic allegory of the designer is pretty visible in the collection. The use of vibrant colors, the choice of fabrics are all eye catching. A mix of khadi, cotton, silk, organza, crepe has been used by the designer for the making of the clothes. Women wear consists of saris, kurtis, patialas, and accessories like bags and jewelry. The designer also plans to keep shoes in her store so that the client can get all the necessary things from the store. The section for menswear has shirts, pathan suits, dhoti and kurtas. The dresses available at the store are for the daily wear of the people. Intricate designs, juxtaposition of elegant embroidery and edgy fashion cuts makes the dresses appealing for the buyers.

The store is built in an area of 820 square feet. It boasts of an elegant interior design. The design has been done in the form of a prism, which separates the light passing through it into different colors. Agnimitra’s signature Madhubani art style has also been inculcated on the walls and hand painted.

Actress Rituparna Sengupta was present at the new store launch event. Dressed in a multi colored mini skirt and a cream colored jacket, the actress looked sexy. The curls in her hair further highlighted her sexy look. “Agnimitra’s deisgns are just fabulous. The way she creates new designs with the Indian textiles is mind blowing. She has designed for me in some of my films. I like her saris and the long dresses. They suit me well” said the actress.

Agni is the perfect place for those people who want to buy designer clothes at affordable prices. The store has a great collection for both men and women. Hence visit the store and get yourself dressed in some great designs by the ace designer.
