Kolkata, Dec 30, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Bawali Unlimited, the latest release of end of 2012 is surely going to be the comic flick to pull crowd at the theaters. The film had its grand premiere at Bijoli Cinema last Friday with hundreds in the audience.
Payel Sarkar, the lead actress of the film wearing a black mid-length dress, was present at the release whose other movie Bojhena Se Bojhena directed by Raj Chakraborty released the same day. Payel told WBRi, “It is absolutely a co-incidence that both my films Bojhena Se Bojhena and Bawali Unlimited are being released on the same day. I have enjoyed working in both the films. But yes - now I am feeling the pressure of it. Hoping both my films will do well at the box-office. Keeping fingers crossed”.
In the star studded affair at the movie release actress Sayantika of ‘Awara’ fame was also spotted beside Joy. Sayantika has acted opposite Joy in films like Target, Hangover and Money Pore Aaj o Sei Din and has won many hearts for her role in ‘Awaara’ opposite Jeet. When asked about her chemistry with Joy, she said, “Joy and I are very good friends”. She is currently busy with another untitled project about which she was understandably not ready to talk about.
Also present at the grand premiere of the film amongst the audience to feel the vibes were actors Joy Mukjherjee and Saurav Nandi along with director Sujit Mandal.
Sujit Mandal, the director of Bawaali Unlimited, is on a high after the success of Romeo and Paglu 2. He told WBRi, “I am very optimistic of my film and I have my full trust on my viewers. They will surely like my attempt to make them stress-free for some moments.”
Joy Mukherjee, one of the lead actors of the film, for the first time has portrayed dual characters. In one avatar he has potrayed Santu, a charming boy, who aspires to be an actor one day and on the other a middle aged Katthak dance teacher for Payel's character. Joy debuted in ‘Target the Final Mission’ directed by Raja Chanda and also acted in the movie ‘Hangover’ directed by Prabhat Roy alongside Prosenjit Chatterjee and Sayantika. He was optimistic about adding another hit to his filmography.
Saurav Nandi , the other male lead of the film, came dressed in a white blazer and snatched the limelight of the evening. The model-turned-actor was earlier a supermodel in Mumbai and also has studied in an acting school to pursue acting professionally. ‘Piriti Kanthaler Aatha’ directed by Reshmi Mitra was his first film in Tollywood which saw him making his debut opposite Riddhima, another next-gen actress of the industry. Though Saurav’s first film was not much successful, he is hopeful of turning things around with this movie.
