New Delhi, Delhi, November 30, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio / India PRwire) The three-day fourth Global Film Festival Noida, 2011 will be remembered for all times to come for the three life time awards presented to the celebrated South Indian filmmaker Singheetham S.Rao, all time great director and producer late Surinder Kapoor and the melodious lyricist Santosh Anand.

According to festival president Sandeep Marwah honouring these three giants of the celluloid Marwah Studios was a humble gesture of a media and entertainment institution to apprise our students in particular and the whole world in general about the pioneering contributions of these celebereties. Rao surpassed all linguistic boundaries by making film in so many languages including Hindi. He is still admired for his treatment of humane subjects in films like Pushpak and Mayuri Naache. Late Surinder Kapoor redefined entertainment cinema through his films like Roop Ki Raani Choron Ka Raja, Wanted, Woh Saat Din and No Entry. In his long and distinguished innings he remained not out and proverbially bid adieu to the mortal with his boots on. He has left an equally gifted family of stars that has entered the third generation and will keep his memory alive in the mind of millions of his fans. Some singers and their words are immortal. Santosh Anand is the tallest name in this category. He gave some golden lyrics like ' Zindagi ki na toote ladi, pyar karle ghadi do ghadi. His name is attached to Manoj Kumar like an imbilical chord through films like Shor, Roti Kapda aur Makan and Raj kapoor's magnum opus Prem Rog.

There were ten segments in which films were shown almost round the clock. For the first time a six-film retrospective of French film director known for his films on Africa were highly appreciated by thousands of discerning viewers. There were choicest of world cinema from countries like Canada, Egypt, Hong Kong, and South Korea selected by an eminent jury. Films were also shown on disability-related issues, children films in collaboration with Children's Film Society of India, focus on Wales films and short and digital films made by the students of Asian Academy of Films and Television and Asian School of Media Studies. Each day of the festival had a stunning finale with the scintillating crooning of Arun Bakshi, Santosh Anand and Shankar Sahni. Each of them mesmerized the students by their signature tunes and the students were seen dancing to their tunes despite a day-long engagement with multifarious activities. Amidst fun and frolic of entertaining films there were thoughtful moments dedicated to burning issues staring the Bollywood like corporatization, piracy and linkages with literature? The three seminars drew an active participation from the students and guests present in the packed auditorium. The festival wrap up will remaining without placing the three workshops on Digital cinema, relationship between print and electronic cinema and Delhi as a future of Bollywood films. In tune with the pronounced Nobel aim of marwah Studios three books published under the banner of Asian Academy of Arts-- Jatak kavya Mala, Meri mauritius Yatra and Samaj and Sanskrit were also launched during the festival.

Such an eventful festival, unseen and unheard in an academic media institution attracted over 7000 footfalls to attend 48 events and more than 300 films breaking our own records , summed up President Marwah.
