Bye Bye Bangkok (Bengali, 2011) Gets U/A (Parental Guidance) Certification, opening in January 2011

Calcutta, Dec 29, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Director Aniket Chattopadhyay (interview) is surely pleased on the "U/A" (Universal but children accompanied by an Adult - similar to "PG-13" rating of our own MPAA) rating given his forthcoming Tollywood Bengali film Bye Bye Bangkok by the government-controlled Indian Film Censor Board (formally called Central Board of Film Certification). Families with children are encouraged to watch this entertaining film opening in theaters in Kolkata in January 2011.

Bye Bye Bangkok is a comedy film, a story around six men and six women. The dozen in the star cast include Swastika Mukherjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Locket Chatterjee, Shilajit, Anjana Basu, Sonalee Chaudhuri, Kanchana Moitra, Kharaj Mukherjee, Kanchan Mullick, Rajesh Sharma, Neel Mukhopadhyay and Priya Karfa. The producer is Kaustav Ray.

Aniket Chattopadhyay debuted in Bengali cinema in 2010 with Cha E Chuti (BUY DVD ONLINE) - a film that received much attention in the media due to the famous "lip-lock with Locket Chatterjee and Dona" scene which really is not that important in the film. Cho E Chuti, with a star cast of Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Kunal Mitra, Shilajit Majumdar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Sonali Chowdhury, Locket Chatterjee, Dona Das and more, received the "Best Experimental Film" award and actor Kharaj Mukherjee (interview) received the best comedy role award at the 2010 Bengali Film Awards (FAB 2010), which was coincidentally organized in Bangkok !
