Calcutta, Dec 29, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Unish Kurir Galpo (Bengali, 2011), a teenage love story featuring several youngsters is currently being shot at several places in the city. The film has around 8-10 young people as members of the cast as the film is primarily around them and has a supporting cast comprising of Mrinal Mukherjee, Soma Chakraborty, Boddhisatwa Majumdar, Sunil Mukherjee and others to keep them company.

The lead pair of this film is Vickey Dev and Noorjahan and the others are Amar Mirza, Kuheli, Shabnam, Raj, Sujit, Debasish, Pamela, Sanath and Soumya. The film will also be shot in picturesque North Bengal for a few days.

The unique thing about this film is that according to the director, Noorjahan is the first Muslim girl to play the lead role in a Bengali film in the last 50 years. Noor is originally from Kolkata, but is based in Shillong now and making her debut with this film.

The director of the film is Gautam Satvaya and the flick is produced by Jyoti Productions. The music is by Arup-Pranoy. The lyricists are Priyo Chattopadhay, Sarajit Banerjee, Naru and Gopal Mondol. The D.O.P is Debasish Roy and the editor Jayanta Laha. The playback singers are Shaan, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, Aneek Dhar, Zubeen Garg, Abhijeet, Debojeet, Anwesha, Ananya and Monali Thakur. One must say it is one of the most impressive line ups of playback singers in recent times and the songs should definitely be good.

Unish Kurir Golpo is expected to release around the end of February 2011.
