Nandan decides Aarekti Premer Galpo (Bengali, 2011) not appropriate for it's audience for portrayal of homosexuality

Calcutta, Dec 21, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) After a long wait, the film Just Another Love Story (AREKTI PREMER GOLPO) directed by Kaushik Ganguly (WBRi exclusive interview) will be released on Christmas Eve - Dec 24, 2010. But Santa has failed to fulfill the expectations of movie-lovers of Kolkata who always expect to watch offbeat films at the state-controller Nandan theaters.

The refusal of Nandan to screen Arekti Premer Golpo is not due to Nanadan being very occupied these days. The reason is the honourable chief-minister of the Government of the State of West Bengal, India, does not feel the topic of the film, homosexuality, is acceptable in an era where most of the countries including India do not think homosexuality as a sin any more.

None other but Nandan Authority has spoken the same. They have also told that they should censor release of any film at their halls even after clearance of the films by Indian Censor Board.

When the film in context is based on different aspects of relationship and debut for eminent director Rituparno Ghosh as actor, that too in dual role, Nandan lovers should not miss the experience at their favourite auditorium!!
