We wanted some creative types of programs for the children on the occasion of the children’s day in reality

It is our best of luck that, India is our motherland and we are Indians. The nature is very kind to this country. The god has gifted many great persons to the country too. Yes, we have been getting lots and lots of talented people, great leaders, heroes, philosophers, politicians, educationalists, monks etc.

It is said that, when a philosopher becomes a king, he might be the best of the kings indeed.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a philosopher and the (first) Prime Minister of this great country too. He (Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru) was one of the best Prime Ministers of the world as a matter of fact.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the only son among the four children of the famous barrister of Allahabad Motilal Nehru (a Saraswat Brahmin of Kashmiri lineage)and his wife Swaroop Rani Nehru.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was born on the date of the 14th of November, 1889(he passed away on 27th of May,1964).

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a very good student since his early childhood. That is why his loving and wealthy father gave the chance to him to take education from the best schools and colleges of the world. His schooling was completed in Harrow. And he took the Law degree from the Trinity College of the Cambridge only, and became a barrister, just like his own very respected father Motilal Nehru over and out.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a very patriotic person by nature, though he spent seven years of his life in England. These seven years(he spent in England) helped a lot to make a global point of view within him.

After returning in India (1912)barrister Jawaharlal Nehru started his legal practice, just like his father. But in 1917, he had Home Rule League. And in 1919, Jawaharlal Nehru met with Mahatma Gandhi. Both of them were highly impressed with each another indeed.

Young Jawaharlal Nehru started to take part in the Non- Cooperation Movement 1920-1922)very actively and was arrested by the British Police too.

In 1924,he was elected as the President of the Allahabad Municipal Corporation. He served as the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee from 1926 to 1928. He became the President of the Congress Party in December 1929. He was elected to the Congress presidency in 1936, 1937, and 1946.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of independent India in 1947.

As a Prime Minister his motto was - to make India a modern country.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had a very soft corner in his heart for the children only. And the children used to call him Chacha Nehru with love and respect. That is why we celebrate his birth day as the children’s day every year.

This year in the children’s day, we have seen some of the children’s films in the channels like Max, Filmy, Colors etc.

It was not possible for us to satisfied with these actually. We wanted some creative types of programs for the children on the occasion of the children’s day in reality.
