Calcutta, Jan 8, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Boroline in association with D.R.Entertainments organized an event called ‘Tar Duyare’-an evening dedicated to Rabindrasangeet where several singers, some of being new and some of them even not being traditional Rabindrasangeet sang quite a few numbers and made the evening memorable. The event took place at Nazrul Mancha.

The evening featured some newcomers like Soumya, Mahua, Ananya, Nilasri and at the same time featured Raghab, Anwesha, Jojo, Indrani Sen, and Monomoy - all established names.

In fact even Chiranjeet and Debasree Roy were part of the line up. People will be surprised to know that Debasree has already released a Rabindrasangeet album and Chiranjeet’s album with Mahua Basu was released yesterday.

In fact the programme was unique as there was a performance followed by a release of an album and this order was followed throughout the evening as new albums of every singer performing at the event was released right before or after a performance. The evening started with an introduction of D.R.Entertainment and Mjoy, the main sponsors for the evening. After that a tribute was paid to the doyen of Rabindrasangeet, Suchitra Mitra who passed away a few days back. Raghab was the first to take the stage and the others followed one by one. The last performer for the evening was actress-singer Debasree Roy.

The albums were released in collaboration with Purple Music - download Bengali audio songs MP3 albums from Purple Music from WBRi Music Store >
