Kanamachi Bho Bho to raise question present norms of education

Kolkata, India, October 30, 2016 (Washington Bangla Radio): The music and first look launch of upcoming Bengali Movie Kanamachi Bho Bho recently took place at Princeton club in Kolkata at the presence of its cast and crew. The occasion also doubled up for the logo launch of the production house Pushparekha International.

Directed by Ujjal Ghosh, the film reveals how present day human life is becoming more and more robotic. The movie also challenges and raises a number of questions the social tradition of seeing books and educational institutes as the only mediums to get a child educated. The film also explores bonding between multiple generations and different forms of friendships.

Though the movie doesn’t have a big star in the cast list but it can boast of the child artist playing the protagonist in it. Saptarshi Chowdhury has already made a mark in the film industry with his role of Jeet’s childhood character in the movie Baadshah. The young talent has also appeared in an ad film along with none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Saptarshi is also making his big Bollywood debut with Salman Khan in the upcoming movie Tubelight.

Saptarshi plays the role of Arya, a 10 year old boy who has recently lost his father. Soon he meets his father’s childhood friend Arun and a number of events unfold and a number of conversation arises during those events. All these makes Arya see a new way of approaching life.

The movie also stars Amitabh Bhatttyacharjee, Abhijit Roy, Bindia Ghosh, Achintya Dutta, Kunal Bhattyacharya, Nisha Shankari indra and others. Along with Saptarshi, a number of other child actors will be seen in the film, namely Adhiraj Ganguly, Aditya roy and Sumit Bhawal.

The movie which also got its music launched in the evening seems to have hummable music tracks which have been composed by Prasenjit Das. The programming and mixing has been done by Bob Sen while Soumyajyoti Ghosh and Raja Chowdhury have displayed their skill on flute and mandalin respectively. Singers like Shaan, Satrajut Dasgupta, timir Biswas and Sujoy Bhowmik has lent their voices for the songs of Kanamachi Bho Bho. 

The script and dialogues has been written by Abhijit Roy while Rabindranath Das has captured the shots as the DOP. Sanjib Bhattyacharya is in charge of editing. Rekha Rungta takes the credit for being the creative producer of the movie.

The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on 18th November, 2016.
