Russian Film Days: Mumbai Russian Film Festival Inauguration Group Photo (WBRi)

Mumbai, Nov 18 (Washington Bangla Radio) Fostering traditions of cultural relationships, the National Endowment of Right-holders Support along with the Filmmakers Union of Russian Federation is organizing the Russian Film Days in the capital of Bollywood.

The film festival opened with a gala event at the iconic Liberty Cinema at 41-42 Liberty Building, Sir Vithaldas Thackersay Marg, Marine Lines with 500 guests and celebrities in attendance, to be followed by a get-together.

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor was the first to reach the venue, followed by Neville Tuli of Osinama. Actors, directors and guests from Russia arrived shortly after.

This event will be marked by two international film premieres. The forum will be opened by the Russian movie “No Limits”, and the film “Schoolmarm” to be presented near the end of the event, which will actually be ahead of the Russian release scheduled for November 26, 2015.

The Film Forum program contains 6 movies of different genres: melodrama, comedy, animation, thriller and military drama.

Attendants from Russia include Director of the Cinematography, Department of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation Vyacheslav Telnov, the Director General of FSUE Melody Firm Andrey Krichevsky, the First Deputy Chairman of the Filmmakers Union of Russia Oled Ivanov, producers, directors and actors Alisa Grebenschikova, Alexey Petrukhin, Anna Churikova, Oleg Spepchenko, Olga Zaitseva, Yan Tsapnik, Arina Borisova, Ruben Dishdishyan and other people from the Russian film industry.
