There is no one at home to manage the maid or attend the door when hawkers or delivery-men come. When the gas man goes away for 3 consecutive days, Sayani decides to get her widowed mother Aparajita (Anusuya Roy Chowdhury) to come and stay with her.

Aparajita manages the house, but makes Kaushik’s life unbearable with her over protectiveness and discipline. Koushik asks Sayani to tell her mother to leave. But Sayani gets sentimental.

At this juncture Koushik’s bohemian dad Kushal (Biswajit Chakraborty) arrives. He has come back from a trip in the hills to spend some time with his son. In a house with only two bedrooms, the son and father, and daughter and mother stay together.
