Anurag Kashyap’s "Meeruthiya Gangsters" (2015) Traces Journey of Six Meerut Guys into Crime

Mumbai, 8 Nov (Washington Bangla Radio): Meeruthiya Gangsters director Zeishan Quadri is very excited about the film. This movie marked his directorial debut and he was keenly looking forward to the response.

‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’ is a quirky crime drama, based on a real life incident about six youths from Meerut and their journey in the mischievous world of crime.

Director Zeishan Quadri said, "I'm really keen to see the response to the teaser of the film. I feel privileged to be associated with Shoeb Ahmed and Prateek Entertainment, who have backed me tremendously. Taking this new turn of my life into direction was not easy, but I've always relished facing challenges in life."

The poster had created buzz in the industry with its uniqueness and interesting tagline - Hero Bhi, Villain Bhi with the guys peeing on a wall with the Hindi equivalent of "No Nonsense" sign stuck on it. Speaking about the film, Producer Shoeb Ahmed said, "We're confident that the film will strike a chord with the audience, especially the youth of the country."

Written and directed by Zeishan Quadri, the film stars Aakash Dahiya, Bijendra Kala, Chandrachoor Rai, Ishita Sharma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jatin Sarna, Nushrat Bharucha and Shadab Kamal. Presented by Prateek Group & Anurag Kashyap, the film is produced by Prateek Entertainment and Friday to Friday Media & Entertainers Production.
