Actress Mahika Sharma for Kaziranga National Park Assam Tourism

Guwahati, Assam, India, Nov 2 (Washington Bangla Radio) After the reports on media that the Assam Minister Atuwa Munda opened the Kaziranga National Park for tourists for the 2015-16 season and lauded officials' efforts to keep a tab on rhino poaching in and around the park. Now one the model turned actress from Assam makes a way to invite people to experience the beauty of her birth-land.

Mahika Sharma says, "It was great to read that the park, declared a world heritage site by UNESCO, that is home to some 2,400 one-horned rhinos. It is popularly known for its elephants, swamp deer, Asiatic wild buffaloes and tigers. Many other ranges of the park at Bagori, Agaratoli and Kahara are simultaneously opened for tourists. Each year the park opens to visitors on November 1st till end of April. It is closed from May 1st because of the monsoon season and floods that frequently occur. We the people of Assam are very much thankful to the forest officials and guards for coordinated efforts to conserve wildlife."

"Assam wildlife is really a great place of attraction. People here can enjoy new foods and the pleasant climate here. I feel that if filmmakers visits this place, they cant skip the scenario for shooting their upcoming movie. I request people to visit Assam and feel the unexplored land and state of our mother-land India." Mahika concludes.
