Kolkata, Nov 28, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Members of the unit of the upcoming Bollywood Hindi movie ‘Talash’ made a tour of the city of Joy for promotion of their Indian movie. Though Aamir Khan, the lead star and the USP of the film gave the promotional tour a miss, bong beauty Rani Mukherjee along with Farhan Akhtar and director Reema Kagti made it a point to get deluged by questions by Kolkata based media.

Rani Mukherji came wrapped in a dark brown designer saree with a greenish golden leafy touch and made sure she gets that typical Bengali touch low on contemporary style. Rani had her first super-hit with Aamir Khan in the film ‘Ghulam’. Rani, for the past few years, is being called "lady perfectionist" which brings her next to the well-known Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. On asked about her take on that, Rani said, “I am nowhere near that status and I cannot imagine myself to be in the same league with him. I had a great crush on him since the days of ‘Qayamat se qayamat tak’, and I could not believe when I was cast opposite him in Ghulam. One can imagine my condition when he sang into my eyes ‘Aankho se tune yeh kya keh diya…’. I never could look into his eyes and looked at his shoes instead. I also got scolded by him for this and I had said I will look into his eyes only during shooting.”

Rani also said that she was very lucky to have worked with all the big Khans of the Industry. On being asked how was the experience of being directed by female director for the first time in her career, she said, “Directors do not have a gender and there can only be bad or good ones”.

Just when Rani had almost marked directors as genderless, Farhan Akhtar mentioned that directors do have a gender and are not exactly ‘genderless’. This ‘gender’ or rather ‘genderless’ episode induced much laughter and fun at the venue.

Reema Kagti also made a massive declaration. When asked if she would like to work again with Aamir Khan after this film, she said that she is ready to give away her arms to work with the perfectionist.

Reema was understandably reluctant to give away the story of the film. She jokingly said the producers will shoot her if she reveals the story of the film and she will not live to see its release. Reema also let the media know that after this film she has two more projects with Zoya Akhtar.

When WBRi asked Farhan if he has any plan to get associated with Bengali movies, he said “I don’t speak Bengali and as it is not my thinking language it will be quite difficult for me to act or write for Bengali films. But life is uncertain and one cannot be so sure of anything. Perhaps I will be associated with a Bengali film someday. Who knows? But I will definitely love to shoot my films in Kolkata and in Bengal”.

‘Taalash’ means search. When asked about what the three of them were searching for individually, Rani said that she is in search of good roles. Reema replied she is in search of a big hit. But the anwer from Farhan was not so expected. His answer was that he is in search of a long break.

The versatile man who keeps himself busy wearing many hats as producer, actor, director and scriptwriter obviously  needs to lay down his hair sometime (especially now as he has longer hair that he has grown for his upcoming film Bhag Milkha Bhag).
