Kolkata, October 17, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Recently the first floor of Hotel Oberoi Grand in Kolkata turned out to be the reflection of a clear midnight sky. It was bound to be as stars of the Tollywood Kolkata Bengali Movie Industry and also Television Industry turned up at the venue to celebrate the 18th year of Kolkata International Film Festival. The party was organized by Venkatesh Films, perhaps the most popular production house of Indian Bengali movie industry of present time.

Srijit Mukherjee and Anupam Roy were spotted together at the party. The chemistry between the director and the singer-composer seems getting better with every passing day. Another young director, Mainak Bhowmick, was seen sporting a no-hair style though his French-cut beard supplemented his almost bald styled head well.

Director Raj Chakrabarty was seen with Kaushik Ganguly, both coincidentally wearing almost identical black shirts. A few moments later Raj Chakrabarty was also seen to chat with Payel and Mimi Chakrabarty, the two leading ladies of his new Bengali film ‘Prem Amar 2’.  Interestingly both the ladies were also wearing black. Payel’s Butterfly neck piece was a eye-catcher.

Just when one was going to assume that the unofficial dress code of the party is Black, the pretty and bubbly Parno Mitra entered the party to bring in contrast. Dazzling in a white single piece, she also sported a wonderful metal chain neck piece supplemented well with the white dress which made her looked like a swan.

Agnimitra Paul and Avishekh Dutta, two of the top fashion designers of Kolkata, also graced the party. Agnimitra entered with Music director Jeet Ganguly. Jeet was in a traditional wear while Agnimitra was in a designer party wear.

Vikram Chatterjee and Paoli Dam were seen together as usual. Directors Haranath Chakrabarty Birsa Dasgupta and Raja Chandra were seen having a good time at the party. Ex-NASA scientist and Bollywood Director Bedabrata Pain also made a hush hush visit to the party.

Tanushree was spotted looking elegant while Abir Chatterjee was seen in a part avatar as his glossy green shirt rippled in reflected light with his every movement.

The show stealer of the party was surely the Mallick family as Koel along with her parents and soon-to-be husband Nishpal Singh turned all heads. It was a delightful sight to watch them together as they posed for ‘picture perfect happy family’ themed photos.

The party lent the busy stars from the industry a good opportunity to let their hair down and they interacted with each other, partied and had a lot of fun. Bonding among the stalwarts make things only better for the industry and the party provided them a perfect excuse to do so.
