Anandmurty Gurumaa 5-Day Spiritual Camp (Shibir) In Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 18th, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / pressreleasecentre) Mumbai: India’s most respected woman mystic who is also credited with conceiving yog asanas, yog nidra and meditation techniques with practical applications, Anandmurti Gurumaa will hold a 5-full day ‘Shibir’ in Mumbai between December 01 & 05. The Shibir will commence each morning at 7:30 with a live session with Gurumaa. It will be followed by a yog nidra session, audio-video presentation of the seer’s bhajans and discourses and will conclude with another live session with Gurumaa at the end of the day.

The Shibir, also termed as Meditation Retreat, is aimed at bringing about stillness and equanimity of the mind. It is also expected, through regular practice, to change the life of participants by making them more focused and productive.

“The purpose of the meditation retreat is to give you an opportunity to get acquainted with your own mind. And the importance of attending meditation retreat lies in the fact that by staying away from your family, your business / profession, in the quietude you get an opportunity to get familiar with the working of your own mind,” says Anandmurti Gurumaa.

Haryana based Gurumaa will teach the seekers the correct techniques of yog nidra and meditation practices. She will also discourse on a variety of subjects and practical problems faced by individuals.

Celebrated for her secular thoughts and modernist approach, her discourses are expected to provide relief. Her spontaneous talks invoke deeper understanding towards life and aims at giving rise to a new kind of human being – a highly evolved individual who reflects the right balance of inner spirituality and outer practicality.

Born in Punjab and running an ashram at Haryana, Anandmurti Gurumaa is a revolutionary seer who defies all distinctions and stands beyond political, geographical and material barricades. Her discourses and meditation sessions create a new sense of awareness where life is viewed without any conditioning and prejudices and essential sutras and key to life, to live it truthfully and totally where each stage of life is welcomed with open arms.

She has devised potent yog asanas and a variety of meditation techniques that have brought peace and success to thousands of seekers who visit her ashram each month. Shakti, an NGO floated by Gurumaa to empower the girl child, has successfully aided many girls.
