The chief reasons which kept people waiting to catch the first day first show of Guzaarish was the fact that this is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first work in three years, and the second being the film brings back the sizzling Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – Hrithik Roshan chemistry onscreen. The couple who is touted as one of the best onscreen pairs in Bollywood has proved it once again that they are reason enough to spend our money on a film! While Hrithik Roshan delivers a wonderful performance as the quadriplegic magician, his nurse Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is brilliant in her facial expressions and manages to look exquisite too!

Guzaarish narrates the story of Ethan Mascarenhas (Hrithik Roshan) who was the best magician in town but is now bedridden as a result of a near-fatal accident he faced while performing his tricks on stage. Sofia D'Souza (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) is his nurse who has been serving the quadriplegic for the past fourteen years of his life and in a way is also a patient herself. Ethan participates in a radio show, his outlet to the world, a mouthpiece that he uses to make the world thrive on hope and love. The story reaches its climax when Ethan demands euthanasia, which he prefers referring to as euthanasia, on the 14th year of his illness in court. It is then that the story becomes emotionally charged.

Though some may feel that Guzaarish is melodramatic and dull in some parts, it has truly lived up to the expectations of the Indian audience. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali compositions is also another reason why you should watch Guzaarish over the weekend.
