Cast and crew of upcoming film Tuski takes road for a cause

Kolkata, India, September 20, 2016 (Washington Bangla Radio): Recently, the cast and crew of upcoming Bengali film Tuski took part in a rally to support educational rights for under-privileged children. Director of the film Aniket Chattyapadhya and lead actress Kanchana Moitra were spotted taking lead positions at the rally. The rally was also joined by actor turned MP Satabdi Roy and MP Mriganko Roy. Actor Arijit dutta was also present at the do.

The rally which commenced from Chetla Park in Kolkata saw Children carrying posters of the film which portrays the child playing the central character. The caption of the poster reads in Bengali ‘Ami School e Vorti Hote Chai’ ( I want to get admitted in School).

After the decorative procession was over, the cast and crew of the film gathered at a banquet to talk about the film.

Director Aniket Chattyopadhya said about the film, “Tuski is a little girl from a slum whose father is an auto driver. Her mother used to work as a house maid to make both ends meet. She had died while giving birth to Tuski. Tuski’s aunt comes to live with her. While Tuski lives in extreme poverty, there is another girl, almost of her age in the posh apartment next to the slum. That girl Tua is the daughter of a corporate big shot. The film is about the contrast in the lives of the two girls.”''

Aniket also mentioned that Poulomi Basu , wife of theatre artist turned politician Bratya Basu is going to debut in the film.

The roles of Tuski and Tua are being played by child actors Priyanka and Moumi. Kanchana Moitra will be seen as Tuski’s aunt. Actors like Rajesh Sharma, Kharaj Mukherjee and Anamika Saha will also be seen in Pivotal roles.
