Kolkata, October 3 (Washington Bangla Radio): After getting huge response for his album ‘Chena Mukher Aaralae’, Subrata Mukherjee launched another vibrant and pulsating album titled as “Windchimes.” The music album launch took place at “The Eye within Club”. He has teamed up with some of the best music composers, lyricists and technicians to produce his album, which has mainly focused on creating the most soulful music with a touch of western instrumentation. Windchimes comprises of eight audio tracks, which range from Sufi to Bengali folk and soft romantic numbers to Dj mix. Subrata Mukherjee’s Windchimes has been released in collaboration with Sagarika Music Company.
The event was graced by a number of stalwarts from Kolkata music industry like Goutam Ghosal, Soumya Bose, Sanchaiyta, Abir Mukherjee along with others. These renowned musicians have made sure to pour their creative inputs and own perception to create such an amazing and diversified album.
Windchimes has been recorded under the guidance of Soumya Bose, who has immense knowledge of music and instrumentation. He has also designed the music of the album. The album has been mixed and mastered at Studio vibration by well known sound designer Goutam Basu.
While having a conversation with Subrata he went back to the memories of his startup days. With a smile on his face he said “It’s been a good journey from my first album Chena Mukher Araley. I know I am not good in Bengali diction like other Bengali singers are but these renowned and respected gentlemen have helped me a lot for building up this album. I want to thank everybody at this music launch for forwarding their esteemed support to me.”
Gautam Ghosal said “I know Subrata from a long time. When he called me up for this album, I was a bit nervous whether he could do it or not as he is not that fluent in Bengali diction, but it is his dedication and devotion to music that made Windchimes possible. The credit definitely belongs to him; we have just monitored the project.”
Abir Mukherjee told the media that Subrato is a nice person and always keeps his commitments. “He is very good from heart and that goodliness can be seen in his songs too. “, said Abir Mukherjee.
With the arrival of the festive season, Subrato’s passionate album Windchimes is definitely going to make the ting a ling sound. The tracks like ‘saiyyan’, ‘swapno neel’ and ‘jhup kore’ are definitely going to evoke a feeling of warmth among the people.
