Calcutta, Oct 30, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Two mega events took place one after another on Saturday at Inox Forum. Firstly the 8th anniversary bash of Inox. The celebrations which had started from the 1st Oct to the 22nd with a host of events, activities and contests ended with the prize winners of two contests being announced where the lucky winners won a mobile phone and a HERO motorcycle. A cake was also cut to celebrate the occasion.
The 2nd event was the music launch of Birsa Dasgupta’s upcoming film Jaani Dyakha Hawbe. Birsa’s last film '033' which had dealt with the aspirations, the joys and sorrows of the members of a Bengali band is completely different from his latest film which deals with the youth, but is essentially a love story of two people, one an aspiring model and the other, a wannabe musician. They need to choose between a career or their love for each other after a point. Which is more important? The film will tell us more..
The film which stars Parambrata and Payel Sarkar in the lead roles also stars Rupa Ganguly, Mamata Shankar and Anjan Dutta in important roles. The film has music by Neel Dutt and Indradeep Dasgupta and has lyrics by Srijato and Ansuman Chakrabarty. The 7 songs in the film's soundtrack (OST) are sung by Anupam Roy, Monali Thakur, Kaushiki Desikan, Anjan Dutt and Shreya Ghoshal. This is the first time that Anupam Roy has sung under another music director. Some of the songs are ‘Thik Thakish’, ’Jaani Dyakha Hawbe’, ’Neel Megh Maashey’ and others.
The film is expected to release on 25th November, 2011 and is the first production of Cinenine.
