Kolkata, Oct 28 (IBNS) Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was dropped while Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag made a comeback in the first Test against West Indies as the selectors announced the squad on Friday.

The All India Senior Selection Committee, at its meeting held in Kolkata, has selected the following team for the first Test against the West Indies, to be played at Delhi from Nov 6 to 10.

Virat Kohli was prefered over Suresh Raina as the extra batsman.

M S Dhoni  (Captain), Gautam Gambhir,  Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, V V S Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, R Ashwin, Pragyan Ojha, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Virat Kohli, Varun Aaron,  Ajinkya Rahane and Rahul Sharma
