Kolkata, October 31, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Icche (‘Aami Aar Aamar Mayer Galpo’) a much delayed project and a turbulent story featuring the story of a over zealous mother and a rebellious son starring Samadarshi Dutta and Sohini Sengupta in the lead roles along with a supporting cast including Ruplekha Mitra, Bidita Bag, Bratya Basu and others has surprisingly turned out to be one of the biggest hits of this year.

In fact it is the only film other than 'Bye Bye Bangkok' this year to have celebrated 100 days. This film is strictly based on remarkably strong performances and we can definitely say that with this film Bengali cinema has proved that performance and content is the king!

To mark the success of it’s run at the box office, a party was held at the Park on Thursday in presence of some members of the cast and crew including Bratya Basu who is currently a minister of the state government. Rituparna Sengupta who is also the presenter of the film was present to lend her support.

This is a very commendable effort indeed from first time director Shibaprasad Mukherjee.
