Introduction to Sanity (Poem)

Introduction to Sanity

Intricately designed walls,
numb, icy hands and
the sound of splashing water
roars loudly.
Obstreperously.

Dresses and suits, gentlemen and women all
uniquely dressed for occasions so special.
Can’t they see
the sky?
It’s red.

Onwards marches the army,
nowhere to go, really. Just
toppling cities
over. But
sometimes

an act of kindness. It’s rare but
not unheard of.
It’s rare, recherché and a striking
tint of red.
You would never even imagine it.
