Subhrajit Mitra's DUI BON (2012) Bengali Movie to go on the Floors

Kolkata Tollywood Bengali Film-Maker SUBHRAJIT MITRACalcutta, Oct 15, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) The noted young film-maker, director of  the intellectually stimulating debut feature film Mon Amour: Shesher Kobita Revisited (2008) and AGUNPAKHI The Phoenix (2010), has commenced on his next Tollywood Kolkata Bengali movie project "DUI BON" adapted from the story by Rabindranath Tagore. The storyline features Tagore himself, as well as Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Subhrajit's prior films include WANGALA on Garo tribes in the North-eastern Himalayan foothills that was well appreciated in the international film festival circuit. Subhrajit has been commissioned for six documentaries so far by Doordarshan, and has made a full 52 episode television series in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

Dui Bon is an India-Bangladesh production. Actress Rituparna Sengupta will play the role of the older sister Sharmila. Bengali actor Tota Roychowdhury has also been selected for a major role in the film.
