Latin America Leaders Forum 2010: Post-Crisis Financial Markets in Latin America

New York, October 12, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / prurgent) Financial Markets in Latin America in the Post-Crisis Environment will be the focus of one of the panels at Golden Networking's Latin America Leaders Forum 2010, "Brazil and the Emergence of a New Economic Powerhouse" (, October 21st, Rosner & Napierala LLP, New York City.

Economic growth in the region is forecast to average 4.5% this year, twice the estimated US rate and four times faster than in Europe. Fiscal deficits in Latin America are expected to average 2.3% of gross domestic product in 2010, compared with 6.8% in the euro area and 10.6% in the US. Clearly, many of the Latin American economies did not suffer as much as their trading partners in the developed world during the financial crisis. What further impact will the recent global crisis have on Latin American financial markets? What strategies should financial institutions operating in the region follow to effectively capture all the opportunities that will emerge in the future? Which countries or industries will drive the financial growth in the following years?
