Coincidentally, there is a superhit Bollywood Hindi movie also titled SAPOOT (1996) starrting Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Karishma Kapoor directed by Jagdish A. Sharma [Sapoot 1996 DVD].

The star cast is lead by Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Saba Joshi, Avtar Sahni, Geeta Bisht and others.
