Robi O Nobin is a new band which has made its appearance in the Bengali music scenario.  Comprising of six members namely, Soumitro Ray, Irene Sarkar, Robin Lai, Chicky, Monty and Arjyesh Ray, the band launched two music albums recently at New Light Media Centre. The first album that they launched is “Dheere dheere” while the second album is called “Diary”. Dheere Dheere is brought out by Picasso Entertainments while Diary is by Inreco. Sraboni Sen, Upal Sengupta, Surojit Chatterjee graced the occasion and inaugurated the music album Cds.

To be able to come to the launch of her music CD is a great honor for me” said actress Pallabi Chatterjee as she graced the occasion of the launch of the music album “Eka Shraboni” by Shraboni Sen.Other popular figures to grace this occasion were music composer Devjit Roy and Animesh Bhattacharya the proprietor of Genesis records.

Music is her soul and is the source of her strength. It is with the help of this music that she continues to fight the mal- effects of the life threatening disease that she is suffering from. Monita Ghosh is a living example of this ideology. It is with music therapy that she continues to overcome the side effects of cancer that she suffers from. Songs of Tagore and Nazrul are her sources of strength. Two of her albums “Aachol bhora phool” and “Nobo chonchol chonde” was released at Press Club. Present at the album launch was eminent Tollywood actress Locket Chatterjee.

Some of Sutapa's acclaimed live performances include Asian Fantasy, 1996, Tokyo, Japan; Winnipeg Summer Festival 2000, Canada; Quebec City Folk Festival 2000, Canada; Rabindra Sangeet solo in 2005 at Mumbai, A USA - Canada Tour in 2006, World Music Festival, 2007, Thailand, Chinese new year celebration in 2007 at Bangkok, Thailand and many more.
