Rohit Gupta's award-winning film, Life! Camera Action to be screened at the Legacy Media Institute (Trailer)

Founded by acclaimed actor/director Tim Reid, Legacy Media Institute will host Rohit Gupta's award-winning film, Life! Camera Action…  at it's first international film festival on November 8th, 2013 in Norfolk VA.This ninety minutes quasi-autobiographical family drama follows a young girl in pursuit of her dreams of becoming a filmmaker against all odds. The film has received high critical acclaim bringing various awards and nominations from around the globe since it's release.

Chitro Bichitro is about a lost relationship. The film starts with the performance of a Nationwide famous Indian Dancer. The program also filled up by a Poet who writes and recites during his leisure time but not professionally. The Dancer got stuck inside the auditorium due to political clashes outside. During that tensed situation, the Poet offers her to stay safely in his house till the situation gets cold. After several disagreements, the Dancer confirmed to go to the Poet’s house. In the house, there took place a chat session with coffee cups for both. In between the preparation of coffee by the lonely Poet, the dancer discovers a book by Rabindranath Tagore named Chitro Bichitro and remembered her past.

This is a story about the past and the forgotten and lost bonding.

NFDC Film Bazaar '13 Calls for Entries for Work-in-Progress Lab and Viewing Room

Film Bazaar 2013, the promotional arm of NFDC (National Film Development Corporation), announces today, the call for entries for its the Work-in-Progress (WIP) Lab and Viewing Room programs. The submission deadline for entries is September 30th 2013. South Asia’s Global Film Market, will see its seventh edition this year, held from November 20-24, 2013 at the Goa Marriott Resort alongside the International Film Festival of India 2013.

Children’s Film Society India Opens entries for the 18th International Children’s Film Festival India

The Children’s Film Society India has opened the doors for all aspiring and young directors to send in their entries to the 18th International Film festival of India. The International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI) also popularly known as The Golden Elephant is a biennial festival that strives to bring the most delightful and imaginative national and international children’s cinema to young audiences in India. Outstanding features, shorts, live action and animation films are screened over seven days from 14 to 20 November 2013 of festive celebrations, attended by more than one hundred thousand children and hundreds of film professionals from across the world.

Good Pitch2 brings social and behaviour change communication to India

Entries have started pouring in for GOOD PITCH², a documentary pitching forum to be launched in India at the Mumbai International Film Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films (MIFF) to be held in February 2014. GOOD PITCH² will be launched in Mumbai by the Indian Documentary Foundation in partnership with Films Division, India and Kerala State Chalchitra Academy. It is a project of The BRITDOC Foundation in partnership with The Sundance Documentary Film Programme and the Ford Foundation.

Q: What’s your feeling as the part of Shorts?
A: I feel really great to be part of the film, because this film made with a lot of effort and lots of hardship. My director Siddharth was an Assistant Director in Gangs of Wasseypur and he had a very unique concept. The actor in me immediately said yes to the script.
It’s really fantastic that Anurag has managed to release the film, because when a short film is made they never see light of the day. At best they go to competition and then no one hears of them.
