Kolkata, May 5, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Distracted by electronics, new generation kids in India are losing touch with rhymes that many of us have listened to during our kindergarten years. It is due to this reason that Debjani Ghosh came up with the idea of recording an album especially for young kids to get them acquainted with these rhymes. This album of English rhymes titled ‘Hooray’ was launched recently at Music World by eminent Tollywood actor Soham, Raj Kalyan Roy, Gautam Debnath and Arijit Mitra (principal of Nalanda School). Also present at the launch was Debjani Ghosh’s teacher Uma from whom she had learned the nursery rhymes herself.

Kolkata, May 4, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): ‘Kagojer Nouka’, the upcoming film Indian Kolkata Bangla movie by director Partha Sarathi Joardar is a recently released its music album. The film has a powerful star cast of veteran actors Soumitra Chatterjee and Victor Banerjee. Priyam and Bidita Bag form the lead pair of the film. Bidita Bag already has shot to fame with her roles in critically acclaimed film Icche and of course with her international flick ‘From Sydney with Love’ she is now known nationally. Dharma Productions’ latest movie, Gippi starring newcomer Riya Vij in the lead role is all set to release on May 10, 2013. The movie is a teen drama, about the underdog that stands up against the mean girls in school, and learns to love herself in the process.
