Jolly Guha Roy told Washington Bangla Radio, “I look at them as ‘Amritasya Putra’ and treat every convict as God’s child. No one is a born criminal. Our society is the main setback which converts an ordinary person to a hardened criminal. It’s our society that is responsible for those unfavorable circumstances which lead a person to commit crime. But those unfortunate fellows should never be treated brutally. Lack in awareness, illiteracy, inhuman treatment and poverty are some of the elements behind the pathetic condition of these people.”

Mr. North India 2004, Gaurav Shah is all over the news nowadays as his debut film “2 Nights in soul valley” is all set to be released on 28th December. Mumbai, Nov 29, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Good looks, mellow voice and intelligence is a deadly combination rarely seen but we found all this in just one person-Indian Idol 5 winner Singer Sreeram Chandra. Hailing from South this star started performing at the age of 8 and ever since has done more than 80 stage shows. B.Tech graduate switched to music due to his love and passion for music. His song Rehnuma from his album “Rehnuma” was also included in “The Chronicles of Narnia: the Voyage of the Dawn Treader”. And with his latest hit number ‘Balma’ Sreeram is creating waves in the music industry. We caught up with the Balma singer on the success of his first item song. Following are the excerpts from the interview.

Chandrachur Singh in his debut role, won a Filmfare Best Debut Award in 1996 for his remarkable performance in Tere Mere Sapne, and followed it up with his acclaimed appearance in the film Maachis opposite Tabu. He has appeared in numerous subsequent films, like Daag and Josh. This year, his most recent releases are Chaar Din Ki Chandni and Prem Mayee. His upcoming films include Zilla Ghaziabad and The Reluctant Fundamentalist directed by renowned film-maker Mira Nair.
