Rituparno Ghosh's last film Satyanweshi receives warm wlecome in Kolkata; A grand premiere to salute the Maestro

Bengali film Industry suffered a huge blow when ace filmmaker Rituporno Ghosh left for the heavenly abode a few days ago. The film industry got immensely poorer with the loss of the gem. But the creative genius had completed the shoot of his first (and unfortunately last too) detective genre masterpiece ‘Satyaneweshi’ in which he recreated the famous Bong sleuth Byomkesh Bakshi. The premiere of the film which is an adaption of the story ‘Chorabali’ from the Byomkesh Bakshi series took place at Priya Cinema Hall in a star studded affair. But the director was sorely missed by everyone and surely Rituporno’s presence could have made the premiere more gorgeous. The void which perhaps can never be fulfilled was highly perceptible at the premiere.

Just at the age of 4, the basic training of Satyaki Roy in recitation began with his first guru being his own mother. Little did he know that one day he will achieve great fame and success with his recitation because destiny had absolutely different plans for him. From the age of five, Satyaki started focusing completely on his desired field i.e recitation and participated in many competitions and his talent got him several prizes.

This maverick Film maker who is also called as the 'Showman' made most notable films such as Kalicharan (1976), Karz (1980), Hero (1983), Meri Jung (1985), Karma (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989), Saudagar (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Pardes (1997) and Taal (1999). He launched Mukta Arts, a film production company in 1982, and is considered a Legendary Maker who made films that portray grandeur and very rich themes. The man who is known as an Institute himself, Created an Institute called Whistling Woods International for aspirants of the world. The one and only Subhash Ghai is now ready with his magnum opus Kaanchi ready for release this December 6th goes in candid with Faisal Saif.

New Audio Music Launch: ‘Folkism’ by Bangla Band Kaya; Soulful Folk music for the urban listeners

It was a grand evening for one of the outstanding music bands of Bengal popularly known as Kaya when they launched their latest album Folkism. The event took place at “The Eye Within Club” which is located near Southern Avenue. Music maestro Soumitra of folk band Bhoomi fame, renowned fashion designer Agnimitra Pal and famous actor cum singer Lajbonti Roy graced the occasion and brightened up the evening.
