Sanjay Nag spared a few minutes for Subhomoy Mukherjee to talk about the film, his background and his experience of making the film which stars internationally acclaimed writer-director Rituparno Ghosh, award-winning actress Deepti Naval and Raima Sen in lead roles. As you will hear in this informal and candid chat in Bengali, Memories In March is a film on relationships about a mother who loses her son and travels to a different city, re-discovering her son in the form of memories of two people she had not known before.

Joydip has written and directed Bande Mataram 2010 (Bengali, 2010) that was screened at the 2010 Kolkata International Film Festival. He is currently working on two films - Bande Mataram 2011 and Beyond Harvard: The Mind of Nalanda - both expected to be complete and released later this year.

Calcutta, March 19, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Susanta Pal Choudhury is known in Tollywood as a sensible director. He started his career as a freelance journalist at the time of studying ground engineering. That time he came in touch with film journalist Tapas Banerjee, who was directing 'Raja Sona' starring Subhendu Chatterjee around 1985-86. Sushanta got the opportunity there to copy the script.

After that he completed his masters in Drama from Rabindrabharati University in 1989. Then he worked with Ajit Ganguly as third assistant director in Biday starring Prasenjit Chatterjee and Satabdi Roy. There he started his acting career too as replacement of Shakti Thakur. That time he acted in “Katha Dilam’ too. But he was keen on directing films.

In early 1990s, he met renowned director Sukhen Das and his son Rajat Das and joined them as chief assistant director. Read all about the current and forthcoming fils by Susanta.
