City of Fort Collins Human Relations Commission groundbreaking Culture Classroom Spotlight on Hinduism

Fort Collins, Colorado, Oct 23, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / Forum for Hindu Awakening) In a ground-breaking motion this month, the City of Fort Collins’ Human Relations Commission has announced that it is hosting an educational program about Hinduism. This unique event will commence with Vedic recitations and lighting of an auspicious oil lamp by the Mayor of Fort Collins. The event, called “Culture Classroom: Spotlight on Hinduism,” will be held on Diwali day (November 5th, 2010) at City Hall Council Chambers. Diwali, also known as the festival of lights, is an auspicious day celebrated by over 1 billion Hindus worldwide. This event will be organized by the Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA), a non-profit, tax-exempt organization in the USA.

Hindus put stamp of approval on Brand-Perry India wedding ceremony

CALCUTTA, Oct 23, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Hindus have put stamp of authenticity on Russell Brand and Katy Perry marriage in Rajasthan (India) on October 23, adding that most, if not all, Hindu wedding traditions were reportedly followed.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that in Hinduism, vivah (marriage) was the most important samskar (sacrament). With this samskar, English actor-comedian Brand and American musician Perry had now entered into grihasth-ashram (householder phase), where they could attend to the goals of dharma (duty). In Hinduism, married couple was looked as a complete module for worship and participation in cultural/social acts.

Millions Of Residents In India's Bihar State Set to Benefit From ADB Power Project

Investigation Of Only Real UFO Contact Case Refused By UFO Research Group

Since its inception in 1969, the international UFO investigation organization, MUFON, has established protocols for conducting UFO investigations. But according to Michael Horn, U.S. media rep for the Billy Meier UFO contact case, not only has MUFON never investigated the case, the organization revealed today that it has never had any plans to do so. Horn says that they also declined to discuss it on his radio show, which focuses on the topic.
