Hindus back Catholics upset over Guadalupe artwork in Santa Fe

Hindus are supporting Catholics upset over the controversial Our Lady of Guadalupe painting currently exhibiting in a Santa Fe (New Mexico) art gallery.
Distinguished Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada today, stressed that artists should be more sensitive while handling faith related subjects. Casual flirting sometimes resulted in pillaging serious spiritual doctrines and revered symbols and hurting the devotees.

Two more Hindu days added to New Jersey schools’ religious holidays list

New Jersey State Board of Education (NJSBE), in a December three revision, added “Goverdhan Puja” and “Pongal” to its “List of Religious Holidays Permitting Student Absence from School” at the urging of Universal Society of Hinduism.
