Mumbai, April 11, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) Kishore Kumar followed the footsteps of his idol K. L. Saigal and became a Singing Star, singing only for himself and occasionally for Dev Anand. But he turned to playback singing full time in 1969 after he lent his voice for Rajesh Khanna in ‘Aradhana’ & ‘Do Raaste’. Then there was no looking back for Kishore Kumar – the playback singer, who became the voice of all heroes from 1969 till his death in 1987.

Shemaroo Entertainment releases 101 DUETS OF KISHORE KUMAR, another addition in the 101 Series of original video songs.

The UN theme for International Women’s Day 2012 is Empower Women – End Hunger and Poverty. In many countries, International Women's Day is an occasion to honor and praise women for their accomplishments. On this special occasion WBRi spoke to Google India’s Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Ms. Paroma Roy Chowdhury about women in India and their desire for progress and achievements.
