Ban lifted from Satyajit Ray documentary on Sikkim


Indo-Americans have commended reported lifting the ban on legendary filmmaker Academy Award receiver Satyajit Ray’s documentary on Sikkim, 18 years after his death.

Welcoming the lifting of ban, Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that the film should never have been banned at the first place as ban was against the intellectual expression and freedom of speech and democratic values of India.
