In Hinduism, Jagaddhatri or Jagadhatri ('the Protector of the World') is a form of Devi, the supreme goddess. Her worship is more common in West Bengal than the other parts of India. Her cult is directly derived from Tantra where she is a symbol of sattva beside Durga and Kali, respectably symbolized with Rajas and Tamas.

This group has come together to present Bengali folk songs with a touch of modernity so that they can be played in lounge bars and be reachable to the affluent class.

FOLK US presents the rich tradition of Bengal alive without tampering the mood and essence of the original songs. These songs have just been presented with a new electronic sound which gives a feel to the songs and makes it more acceptable to greater sections of society.
