FCC continues to attack net neutrality

The Oprah Winfrey Show celebrity special guests for tapings at the Sydney Opera House

Sydney, Australia, Dec 14, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / PRUrgent) Some of Australia’s biggest stars will join Oprah when she tapes two special episodes at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday 14 December. Russell Crowe, Bindi Irwin, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and Olivia Newton-John are all confirmed to appear across the two shows. Rock legends Bon Jovi will perform some of their greatest hits and hip-hop superstar Jay-Z will stop by for a special surprise. Plus, a soaring finale will feature special guests and a one-time-only musical performance with Australia’s John Foreman and his orchestra.

Two shows will be taped at the Sydney Opera House on 14 December, each with approximately 6,000 audience members. The “Oprah” show received more than 350,000 total requests for tickets to the tapings. Of the seats awarded through an online lottery system, more than 95% have been given to Australian residents. The sold-out tickets were available free of charge.

Somoy TV Bangladeshi Channel selects Enterprise sQ for new 24 hour TV news channel

Calcutta, 22 October 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio): Somoy TV, the new Bangladeshi private broadcaster, has purchased a Quantel Enterprise sQ server based production system to power its 24 hour news service. Installation is underway and Somoy TV expects to launch in February 2011. The Enterprise sQ system was purchased through Quantel's regional reseller, Shaf Broadcast, who is also the System Integrator for the project.
