Prosenjit in JOR JAR MULUK TAR (2010) - Bengali Movie Premiere in Kolkata and Film Review

Tollywood Hero Prosenjit Chatterjee in Jor Jar Muluk Tar (Bengali, 2010)

The film introduces few new actors where hero duo Shaan and Raj have possibility in future.

Rajatabha, Laboni, Rajesh are good in acting and Tollywood superstar hero Prosenjit again has surprised as the hero of typical Bengali mainstream cinema. He is really a great actor who is balancing properly among films like Autograph, Jor Jar Muluk Tar, Khela, etc. (we have not taken name of “Moner Manush” knowingly as Bumbada as Lalon Fakir has just crossed all the limitations and boundaries).

Movie Review: MONER MANUSH (Bengali, 2010) - Prosenjit attains moksha with his performance in this film

Calcutta, Dec 3, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) The film which is an Indo-Bangladeshi venture is directed by Gautam Ghosh who is known for such projects. The film was shot in the Chilapata forests in North Bengal (the Indian part of the locations) and the sets by Samir Chanda and the cinematography by Gautam Ghosh himself is, of course, very good.

The performance by the entire cast is excellent, but the film belongs to only one man, Prosenjit. Is this that role that one waits for in his lifetime? Is this role that helps a man to seek salvation and help a man to reach heights which he has reached never before? Shall a role silence even the harshest of his critics such is the performance? The answers to all these question is yes. Bumba-da who went in to sort of a professional sanyas in order to mentally and physically prepare himself for the role looks and acts jus like the great man himself and nowhere do you ever understand that it is Prasenjit who is playing Lalon. He undergoes a complete character transformation and he leaves the audience gasping and completely shocked with his performance. Kalua or Suleiman played by Bangladeshi actor Chanchal deserves a special mention of his performance.

As you will see, obviously there is something menacing  about DEV in Srabanti's mind which only the story of the film will reveal - Shrabanti appears to have ambivalent feelings for DEV pretty convincingly!
