KANAMACHI Bangla Movie: Review, Story, Trailer and Wallpaper at WBRi

One of the men of the story is Abir (Ankush Hazra) - a photo-journalist working with a leading Kolkata-based Bengali newspaper. One of the women of the story is Nayana (Srabanti). She has recently moved from Siliguri to the Kolkata office of the newspaper. Nayana is one of the mob which beats up Abir after mistaking him for a member of a gang which attempts a bank heist. Thus they start on a wrong footing, but they will eventually hear Cupid's calls. Another woman in the story is Abir’s best friend Payel (Sayani Ghosh). She will have to sacrifice her romantic feelings for him and remain just that. Later on, she sacrifices much more than just love. Kolkata, March 16, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Leading director Raj Chakraborty's new Kolkata Bangla movie "Kanamachi" premiered in a glittering closed-door event at Priya Cinema theater on March 15. The evening was brightened up by many celebrities from the Tollywood Bengali film fraternity.

The film is based on a novel by noted Bengali writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay. The music launch of this film took place at a prominent hotel in Kolkata. Present at the music launch were Goutam Ghosh, Dipankar Dey, Shirsendu Mukhopadhyay, Debojyoti Mishra, Haranath Chakraborty, Monotosh Chakraborty, Prabhat Ray, Nimu Bhowmick, Gourab Chakraborty, Master Adhiraj and Sudip Mukherjee.

The unveiling of the DVD and the VCD of the Bengali film “Jekhane Bhuter Bhoy”, which was loved very much by the audience, took place at Music World. Present at the DVD and VCD launch of the film was director Sandip Ray and actors Abir Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Dwijen Bandhopadyay, Bhaswar, Mousumi Bhattacharya and Subhrajeet.

Kolkata, March 12, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Drishya and Chitrakoot Art Gallery organized a talk with eminent poet, essayist, novelist and film maker Buddhadeb Dasgupta and noted Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is having a high time with his roles in blockbusters like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Taalash’, ‘Chittagong’ and the two movies of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ series. Present at this conversation was Barun Chandra. The shortage of space did not deter film enthusiasts and the media representatives from attending this talk.
