A.R. Rahman signs up as Toyota Brand Ambassador for Toyota Etios in India

Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced A R Rahman as its official brand ambassador for the Toyota Etios. The much-awaited Etios will be launched in December this year.

Road Transport in Viet Nam improvements expected with help from ADB

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, Oct 18, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) A $1 million technical assistance (TA) grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will help to increase efficiency in road transport administration and attract investment in Viet Nam's rapidly expanding road transport network.

The grant, sourced from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction and funded by the Government of Japan, will provide the Ministry of Transport and its support agencies with guidelines to strengthen institutional and financial arrangements, operation and maintenance, and governance.

Tata Aria, the first Indian four-wheel drive Crossover, hits the road

Tata Motors Group global sales grow by 19% at 86,996 vehicles in September 2010

CALCUTTA, Oct 15, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / pressreleasepoint) The Tata Motors Group global sales, comprising of Tata, Tata Daewoo and Hispano Carrocera range of commercial vehicles, Tata passenger vehicles along with distributed brands in India, and Jaguar and Land Rover, were 86,996 nos. in September 2010, a growth of 19% over September 2009. Cumulative sales for the fiscal (April 2010 - September 2010) are 511,934 higher by 38% compared to the corresponding period in 2009-10.

Sales of all commercial vehicles were 40,961 nos. in September 2010, a growth of 18%. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 233,573 nos., a growth of 32%.

Autocar Performance Show in India
