Canadian Brothers Successfully Finish their 18,000 KM Circumnavigation of China on BMW Motorcycles

Shanghai, China, October 19, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / PRWEB) On Sunday October 17th 2010 Canadian brothers Colin and Ryan Pyle, rolled into Shanghai, China after 65 days on the road circumnavigating China on their BMW F800GS motorcycles. Their journey was a unique one, as they have become the first riders to fully circumnavigate China by motorcycle in one single journey. During their remarkable 17,674km odyssey the brothers have encountered some of the most intense changes in culture, weather, altitude and terrain that exist in the world. They tackled heavy rains, flooding, landslides, freak hailstorms, extreme altitude (above 5000m/16,000ft), sand, gravel, thousands of kilometers of road construction and even bureaucratic / military interference.

General Motors India’s September 2010 Sales grow by 13% at 8617 units

New Delhi, Oct 15, 2010 (Washinton Bangla Radio / prurgent) General Motors India has registered an impressive growth of 13% in sales in September 2010, compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 8617 units in September 2010 against 7654 units in September 2009.

The September 2010 sales comprised 2753 units of Chevrolet Beat, 2424 units of the Chevrolet Spark, 1578 units of the Chevrolet Tavera, 847 units of the Chevrolet Cruze, 325 Units of Chevrolet Aveo, 287 units of Chevrolet Aveo U-VA, 236 units of Chevrolet Optra and 167 units of the Chevrolet Captiva.

Road Transport in Viet Nam improvements expected with help from ADB

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, Oct 18, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) A $1 million technical assistance (TA) grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will help to increase efficiency in road transport administration and attract investment in Viet Nam's rapidly expanding road transport network.

The grant, sourced from the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction and funded by the Government of Japan, will provide the Ministry of Transport and its support agencies with guidelines to strengthen institutional and financial arrangements, operation and maintenance, and governance.
