CHEVROLET GLOBAL INDIAN MUSIC AWARDS ANNOUNCE NOMINEES FOR FIRST MULTI-GENRE MUSIC AWARDS

Mumbai, Oct 26th, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) With the inaugural edition of the Chevrolet Global Indian Music Awards (GIMA) powered by Micromax on the anvil, nominees were announced today in the Film Music and Non-Film Music categories. Adding to that an unconventional award for the Best Anti-Piracy Initiative, fighting music piracy in India was also announced. An initiative of Wizcraft International Entertainment, Chevrolet GIMA has been instituted with the support of IMI, T-Series, MCAI and other key constituents of the music industry. The inaugural edition of the Awards will be presented at an exclusive ceremony on November 10th, 2010 in Mumbai.

BMW to introduce motor bikes in India - BMW Motorrad - Price & Specification Prediction

It is expected that BMW will launch its two wheelers in India soon. In a partnership with the Hero group, about 13 years ago, the company, German luxury car-maker BMW had tried to make a mark into two-wheeler segment of India.

BMW is planning another foray to push machines on to the luxury bike market this time. However, this time, the firm has to pay attention to the already established rivals in the premium bike segment.


Skoda Auto Ambassador Jack Bobridge Wins Two Gold In CWG New Delhi

October 19, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / FPRC) Australian cyclist and Škoda Ambassador Jack Bobridge collected two gold medals in the men's 4,000 metres individual pursuit and in the Men’s Teams Pursuit at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi.

Bobridge claimed his first gold ahead of New Zealander Jesse Sergeant and said after the win: “I've been striving now for the last couple of years to get an individual gold medal”.

Skoda Auto sees their greatest car sales ever in September

October 19, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / FPRC) The biggest Czech automobile manufacturer Škoda Auto continues on its dynamic growth curve. 75,790 vehicles sold in September (last year: 69,023) represents the best sales result in a single month ever. In the first nine months of 2010, Škoda increased worldwide deliveries by 12.8 percent for a total of 568,990 units (January – September 2009: 504,625).

“With an attractive model range, Škoda has continued on its successful path during the third quarter of 2010. In light of the sales development to date and the record month of September, we are confident that we will sell significantly more vehicles this year than in 2009”, said Prof. Dr. h.c. TVS Motor Company Q2 Revenue Grows 43% - PBT grows 181 %; PAT grows 123 %

Mumbai, Oct 21, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / pressreleasepoint) Profit before tax, during the quarter under review, grew at 181% from Rs. 24 crore recorded in September 2009 to Rs. 68 crore in the current quarter. Profit after tax grew by 123% from Rs. 25 crore in the previous comparable quarter to Rs.55 crore in the quarter under review.

A complete portfolio complemented by sales from new and existing products has led to a robust increase in TVS Motor Company’s domestic and export sales across all categories during the second quarter of the current fiscal. This has enabled the company to achieve a revenue growth of 43% during the quarter with sales revenue growing from Rs. 1130 crores in the quarter ended September 2009 to Rs.1616 crore in the quarter ended September 2010.
