Toyota Kirloskar India Motor Sales Grow in September

October 4, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / I-Newswire) - Toyota Kirloskar Motor has registered a growth of 8.5% in sales in September 2010 compared to the same period last year. It sold 6235 units in September 2010 against 5748 units in September last year.

A growth of 53% has been recorded for the period January to September 2010, over the same period last year.

Commenting on the month’s performance, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director-Marketing TKM, said, “We have continued to grow year-on-year in the very competitive Indian automobile market. In order to meet the growing demand and minimize the waiting period for our products, the capacity of our plant will be increased to 80,000 units starting December this year. The latest addition to our product line, the Corolla Altis Diesel has also been getting good response with around 2600 bookings till date.”



Tata Motors India increases price of some passenger cars and all commercial vehicles

CALCUTTA, Oct 1, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio - pressreleasepoint) Tata Motors today announced an increase in the prices of some passenger vehicles and all its commercial vehicles. The increase is effective from today.

The price increase in passenger cars is on the Tata Indica and the Tata Indigo family, in the range of Rs. 4,500/- to Rs. 14,000/-, depending upon the model. In utility vehicles, the price increase is on Tata Sumo and Tata Grande MK II, in the range of Rs. 7,800/- to Rs.10,300/- The price increase is in the light of increase in input costs.



Tata Motors India sells 64,668 commercial vehicles and passenger cars in September

CALCUTTA, Oct 1, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / pressreleasepoint) Tata Motors' total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles in September 2010 were 64,668 vehicles, a growth of 23% over 52,513 vehicles sold in September 2009. The company's domestic sales of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles for September 2010 were 59,611 nos., a 20% growth over 49,650 nos. sold in September last year.

Cumulative sales (including exports) for the company for the fiscal are 380,113 nos., a growth of 39% over 273,491 nos. sold last year.

Tata to launch Aria in October 2010
